One of the best plate lunches I’ve ever had. Unbelievable Korean fried chicken that was crispy, juicy, and tender with a delicious sauce. Kalbi ribs were incredible as well. Portions were excellent with great rice and mac salad.
This place is a 10/10!! The food is absolutely delicious. Super hot and fresh. We ordered the smokehouse fries, short ribs, and Korean fried chicken. Everything was fabulous and served with a smile!!
This place is the definition of a mom and pop shop. I got the fried rice with smoked pork and a fried egg on top. The wife got a breakfast sandwich. To top it off we got the Poi balls with the ube sauce. This place absolutely blew me away. Even as visitors to this island the people made us feel at home and engaged in personal conversations with us. Highly recommend
We tried the three meat plate and katsu loco moco. They were both really good. Also we met some locals at the restaurant and they shared lots of aloha! Thank you.
Amazing food, follow their yummy suggestions and you will leave a very happy person. Very kind staff. Best gravy on the island. Amazing smoked meat mocoloco! Ube pancakes were sooo rich with ube and the Chantilly... mouth watering. My new must visit every time in town. Looks quite outside, but constantly super busy with take out orders in the morning.
Let's start with the staff, the nicest, friendly, helpful staff. Utterly friendly and accommodating, feels like you're at your grandmother's house. Now the food, made to order and was excellent. Well made, flavorful and delicious. Wonderful choices to choose from. Banana lumpia was the bomb. Definitely a must try for local food in the area. Great people great food, what more could you ask for more.
We had smoked meat and sweet sausage plate, ono fish and shrimp plate, furikake fries. The food was very delicious, especially smoked meat and the shrimp. Staff were friendly as well, the best restaurant in Kona through our trip.
I cannot say enough good things about Nephis! Kind family owned establishment with incredible food. Multiple generations work here and each family member chatted with us while we waited for our food. The food was DELICIOUS!! We got loco moco and pancakes and will definitely be back for more. Truly supporting local here! Take your food over to the beach down the street and enjoy!
